Landscape Technician – Maintenance

Pay: $17–$20/hour, based on experience
Sexton Lawn & Landscape is hiring Landscape Technicians to join our maintenance team. We are a well-established landscaping company serving residential and commercial clients with quality landscape maintenance, enhancements, and outdoor services.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you'll help keep client properties clean, healthy, and looking their best. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outside, staying active, and being part of a team.
No landscaping experience is required — we're willing to train dependable, hardworking candidates.
What You'll Do
As a Landscape Technician, you will:
- Mow, edge, trim, and blow off lawns and walkways
- Assist with planting, mulching, weeding, watering, and cleanups
- Prune shrubs, small trees, and perennials as directed
- Rake leaves, remove debris, and keep job sites clean
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Use basic landscaping equipment such as trimmers, blowers, mowers, and hand tools
- Follow direction from the Crew Leader and work safely as part of a team
- Help with seasonal landscape maintenance tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical outdoor labor
- Willing to learn and follow instructions
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Prior landscaping, groundskeeping, construction, warehouse, or outdoor labor experience is a plus, but not required
- Valid driver's license preferred, but not required
Work Environment
This role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and using landscaping tools and equipment throughout the day. You'll work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, wind, and sun, and may be exposed to noise, dust, pollen, and uneven terrain.
Schedule
Candidates must be available for early start times, overtime, and occasional weekend work as needed.
